Larissa Hale, Karin Gerhardt and Rebecca Coulombe with Yuku-Baja-Muliku rangers Mick, Kynan and Griffyn attended the 10th International Ranger Federation World Ranger Congress on 7-11 October 2024 hosted by Gardes Nature de France in Hyères in the French Riviera. The largest ranger gathering in the world, the 10th World Ranger Congress brought together over 450 rangers and conservation professionals from 88 countries.

At the Congress, Larissa, Karin and Rebecca delivered IWRN’s first plenary, ending with a standing ovation and overwhelming positive feedback.

We shared the amazing work Indigenous women rangers are doing and presented the story of QIWRN which has grown from 26 women in 2018 to over 200 women. We announced the scaling of the network across Australia and globally, and Australia’s first national IWRN forum in March 2025. â€‹

"Our network is making a meaningful impact by providing a platform for Indigenous women and girls to gain visibility, and recognition while safeguarding our land, air, and water for our future generations."
~Larissa Hale, IWRN Founder & CEO
